Open Question: Seriously, has anybody out there ever used Steel Seal to repair your engine block? No opinions, please!?

The Heater core in our 99′ Volvo S70 went out. We are changing it out. This caused our car to overheat and were not sure if the gasket is blown or if the block is cracked or warped. I’ve done some research on Steel Seal. I called some of the mechanics from the website that use it and they charge ridiculous prices to simply pour this stuff down your radiator. Im thinking that if reputable mechanics use it, it must be legitimate.
